ASME Y14.5M 1982/1994 Update (1-day)

This one-day GD&T workshop designed for those GD&T users who are currently using the 1982 version of the ASME Y14.5M Standard, and wish to migrate to the 1994 version of ASME Y14.5M Standard. Companies that are switching from the 1982 version of the standard to the current 1994 version of the standard will find this workshop especially useful.

The course objective is to identify and understand the changes and additions made between the ASME Y14.5M-1982 and ASME Y14.5M-1994 Dimensioning and Tolerancing Standard.

Class lectures are supplemented with viewgraph presentations that explain the desired concepts. Although the class focuses on the changes and additions to the latest standard, the workshop also provides an opportunity to review many of the major GD&T concepts.

Each student will receive a binder containing class lecture material; in addition, attendees will receive a comprehensive booklet listing and summarizing changes and additions to the ASME Y14.5M-1994 Standard. Students are tested on their understanding of the class material using a take-home final examination.

This GD&T course is an intensive one-day udate to the ASME Y14.5M-1994 Standard. Each participant who completes the final exam with a score of 70% or higher will receive a class completion certificate. To best serve participants, this course is limited to a maximum of 22 students.
