Changes and Additions to ASME Y14.5M-1994

There are number of significant changes between the ANSI Y14.5M-1982 Dimensioning and Tolerancing Standard and the ASME Y14.5M-1994 Dimensioning and Tolerancing Standard. It is difficult to grasp the scope of the changes by simply reviewing the standards themselves. However ASME has provided a list of the principal changes and improvements in Appendix A and Appendix D of the current standard (ASME Y14.5M-1994). Although this is a useful listing, it requires users to flip back and forth through both standards to review these changes and improvements.
